On the 15th June 2006 Dean had a feature in the Wigan Evening Post stating he would save Wigan Warriors from relegation after some fans contacted him, at the time they were rock bottom with 4 points and had only won 2 matches from 16. Over 40 fans emailed and pleaded with Dean to help. So he did.
Dean went to the next home match vs. the Catalan Dragons and Wigan won 24-18.
When Dean got involved they won 9 from 10 matches and on Friday 1st September 2006 it was "Job done" when Wigan beat Bradford meaning they were safe from relegation.

Dean proved everyone wrong by taking on and beating a team of Professional tipsters at the 2008 Grand National.
Dean took on Grandnational.org.uk, each party had to pick 4 horses.
Dean came 1st and 5th with Comply or Die and Bewleys Berry whilst the Professional tipsters came 3rd and 4th.

To get David Beckham back playing for England he had to be playing for Real Madrid so that was the next thing for Dean to concentrate his energies on.
David Beckham returned on the 21st April for the home match vs Valencia and they won 2-1.
Dean continued to back Beckham and Real Madrid for the remainder of the season and during the last 8 matches they won 7 drew 1.
On Sunday 17th June Real Madrid won the league by beating Mallorca 3-1, there first title win in 4 years.
Dean is backing Beckham bound LA Galaxy for the next few two seasons.
Dean also gave the LA Galaxy Fansite a question and answer session.
On the 20th November 2006 Dean advised the media that he would save Macclesfield Town from relegation.
Before his involvement the Silkmen had not won all season (21 games) but on May 5th 2007 they confirmed survival in there Division by 2 points. More information.
In the build up to the play off's and the Superbowl Giants fan Dean advised the world and national media that the Giants would be champions this year...
They reached the Superbowl after a 23-20 overtime win against the Green Bay Packers and met the 18-0 hot favourites the New England Patriots.
No one gave the Giants a chance in fact the Patriots were 1/6 on to win.
On Sunday 3rd February 2008 the New York Giants caused the biggest shock in Superbowl history by beating the New England Patriots 17-14 with a touchdown 35 seconds from the end of the match.
Midas's biggest case to date when he backed the Giants to win the Super Bowl.
Midas teamed up with Philip Leggetter owner of We support the Bring Back Beckham! campaign to help get Legend David Beckham back in the England squad and on Saturday 26th May after most people had wrote them off, Goldenballs returned.
Phil Leggetter commented before Beckham's inclusion in the squad "The fact that Dean may have some positive supernatural influence on things, is just a great bonus!"

Dean went to Leeds United's last 5 home games last season and they won 4 drew 1, with everyone seemingly against them Dean stuck with them during the 2007/8 season and even with a -15 point start Leeds finished 5th and reached the play off Final.
This was still a remarkable achievement and Dean was honoured to back them.

Dean received loads of media attention when Torquay caused the shock of the FA Cup 1st round by beating the League One side Yeovil Town 4-1.
"Psychic Dean'Midas'Maynard helped the Gulls to a momentous win at Plainmoor, which was beamed around the country live on BBC1" Torquay Herald.
Dean was then interviewed Live on Soccer AM by Torquay fan Helen Chamberlain on Saturday 17th November.

In Mid March Dean was approached by fans of Northern league side Ashington AFC after they had slipped into the relegation zone after 7 games without a win.
Dean got involved and the club won 4 of their next 7 games. On Saturday April 19th the club confirmed their survival with a 2-1 away win at Northallerton.

Here is a piece from Non League Daily confirming it was another successful job done for Midas.
Midas supported and backed Becky Brunskill throughout her local election campaign in May 2008.
In the early hours of May 2nd Becky won her seat on the local council.
