Danyl Johnson - X Factor 2009

On 2009's X-Factor Dean backed & supported Reading teacher Danyl Johnson.

On Danyl's first audition Simon Cowell said I've been doing this for... how many years? Eight or nine years. That was single-handedly the best first audition I have ever heard.

Danyl went onto reach the live shows with Simon Cowell as his mentor but from day one he received constant negative press from the national media.

BUT even with the pressure and most of the media against him, Danyl continued to perform to a high standard and went onto reach the Semi Final.
